The establishment of the WestCan Network has many benefits most importantly; ease of operation, reduced equipment costs and reduced operating costs.

19 GNSS base stations allow users Real-time Centimeter accuracies within 40km of the following sites;  Victoria, Vancouver, Maple Ridge,  Kelowna, Penticton, 3-Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Ponoka, Red Deer, 2-Calgary, Airdrie, Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw, Winnipeg and Steinbach

Access to the network is via the internet to the rover GPS receiver thru a digital modem or cell phone.  The GPS receiver can access LMS's multi frequency, multi constellation correction service that is designed to work with the latest generation of GNSS receivers as well as older GPS only equipment.
